Spring Used Book Sale 2022
Spring means rainy days, new plant life sprouting, and…our FURL Spring Used Book Sale is in bloom! Please join us on Saturday and Sunday, April 9 and 10 to shop gently used books (mostly under $1). The sale will take place in the community room on the lower level of the Urbana Library. The book sale is open to the general public at 10am on Saturday 4/9, though FURL members are invited to shop an hour early at 9am! Please donate books, time, and/or money towards supporting our library!

FURL’s first virtual meeting of the new year. We primarily discussed some of the library’s new initiatives and FURL’s author spotlight blog. In our last meeting, FURL approved to help fund holiday gift cards for the staff to local deli Pumpernickel and Rye. This also marks the one-year anniversary for the FURL blog and website. It’s amazing how much has happened in our world in just one year.

FURL Fall Fundraiser 2020
This weekend FURL was scheduled to host the Fall book sale. Unfortunately, the Coronavirus pandemic forced us to cancel our sale for the second time this year. “The changing times require FURL as a nonprofit to adapt, so we have kicked off our first ever donation based fundraising campaign” says Katie Esposito, FURL President.
