The Friends of the Urbana Regional Library are excited to announce our Winter (well, almost!) Used Book Sale! This year, due to library renovations and elections, our usual Fall event has been postponed to December. Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8, for a weekend filled with fantastic deals on gently used books, DVDs, and more.
Saturday, December 7: 10 AM – 5 PM
Doors open early for FURL members at 9 AM.
Sunday, December 8: 1 PM – 5 PM
Spring is in the air, and with it comes the anticipation of our much-awaited Spring Used Book Sale! Please join us on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 to shop gently used books (mostly $1 or less/ DVDs are 10 for $5). The sale will take place in the community room on the lower level of the Urbana Regional Library. The book sale is open to the general public at 10am on Saturday 4/20, though FURL members are invited to shop an hour early at 9am!*Please donate books, time, and/or money towards supporting our library!
This weekend FURL was scheduled to host the Fall book sale. Unfortunately, the Coronavirus pandemic forced us to cancel our sale for the second time this year. “The changing times require FURL as a nonprofit to adapt, so we have kicked off our first ever donation based fundraising campaign” says Katie Esposito, FURL President.
