Friends of the Urbana Regional Library, Inc. (FURL) was formed in early 2006, even before the Library was built. Recognizing the Library as a central part of the community, the earliest FURL members worked tirelessly to build a strong organization that would support the Library and the surrounding community, the southern region of Frederick County. To this day, FURL volunteers continue to be engaged in raising awareness of, and funds for, the Library.
