During this difficult stay-at-home season, our library needs our help!  Since the library is closed due to the coronavirus, we regret that our traditional fundraising method of used book sales cannot be conducted this year.  Please help Friends of the Urbana Regional Library (FURL) support our library and its programs with a tax-deductible donation today.  Your gift will help ensure quality access to literacy and educational opportunities, information, technology, innovations, civic engagement, and entertainment at the Urbana Regional Library.  

Since 2006, Friends of the Urbana Regional Library (FURL) has supported the Urbana branch and the Frederick County Public Library (FCPL) system. Raising funds primarily through used book sales these last 13 years, FURL has provided over $75,000 of financial support to the Urbana Regional Library. Just a few of FURL’s recent expenditures have included:  major funding for the Early Literacy Play and Learning Space installation; support for the annual Summer Reading Program, Starlight Film Festival, and Hispanic Heritage Celebration; redesign of the teen area and supplies and refreshments for teen use; supplies for seniors programming; and library staff appreciation.  Every donation you make pays dividends to our community!
